Pictures can also be used to develop awareness of different cultures and their artefacts. Put your learners into pairs or small groups.
​Ask them to discuss the sculpture:
- what does it show?
​- where might you find an object like this?
- what do you know about the culture that is represented here?
- even if you don't know the answers to the above questions, what response do you have to the sculpture?
​- how could you learn more about objects like this, and their cultural significance?
