I've been teaching people English since 1978, and I've been training and developing English teachers since 1982.

I've worked in several countries, including the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, India and Tanzania.

When I'm not in the classroom, I like reading, taking photographs, travelling (by train when possible!) and hiking.

My favourite colours are green and blue, I can't drive, and I learned to swim only when I was 40 (I'm very proud of that!).

I'm President of a Swiss NGO that supports a school project in South India called Madurai Seed - I go there once a year to help train their volunteer teachers.
